The Flagship Unit
The single best air cleaner we've found for cigar lounges in 25 years. Ceiling-mounted, whisper-quiet, and 95โ99.99% efficient at removing smoke and odor at up to 1,250 CFM.
This is the straight story on the Honeywell Model F111 โ the questions we get asked most. Honeywell makes other air cleaners, but the F111 is absolutely the best application for a cigar lounge.
The F111 is designed to be ceiling-mounted, or "free hung," 9โ12 feet off the floor and over the smokers if possible. It works like a vacuum cleaner: the closer it is to the source of the smoke, the better it works. We recommend the black-colored door โ it blends in better unless you have white ceilings.
If you can't locate it directly over the smoking area, that's not a problem โ it's more important to size the CFM correctly. You want about 10 air changes per hour plus some fresh-air mix. If you have a suspended ceiling, the F111 drops into a 2'ร4' tile space (you'll need at least 18" of plenum). Most of the unit sits above the tiles โ all you see is the 4"-thick door.
The F111 draws dirty air up through the vents on the face of the door, in three stages:
Clean, scrubbed air is then expelled back into the room through the vents on each end of the door.
Success is in the numbers. Follow this formula and install it correctly, and you won't go wrong:

Our best price on the F111 is $3,995.00, including freight and lift gate. Installation is priced per job. After it's installed you'll get roughly 6โ8 months of service from the HEPA filter in most cases โ then simply replace it for $150.00 plus freight. Replace the two charcoal modules every 8โ12 months for $605.00. It ain't cheap โ but it works, and clean air is what keeps your customers happy and buying cigars.
Good news: no more cells to wash, ever. Maintenance is simple:
Skip the monthly pre-filter and the HEPA loads up with dust, tar, and nicotine โ we've seen filters warped from being nearly sucked into the fan. Change the pre-filter on time and everything downstream lasts.
One word: engineering. We've been selling and installing air cleaners for over 25 years and have never found a better product. The quiet 6.5-amp motor, the sound attenuation, the airflow, the door design โ you won't find a better unit for a cigar lounge. We've installed hundreds of them, and every time the compliment is the same: the air is clean and the customers stay.
Making a commitment to clean air is the best way to keep your customers at ease so they can enjoy fine tobacco โ and it means you sell more cigars. "Commitment" means changing your filters on time and mixing in about 15% fresh air (you can't keep cleaning the same air forever). It's a real investment, but in 25 years of clearing the air, we haven't found a better air cleaner for cigar lounges.
